Timeline for the GRE

Hi, guys.
James here, I have just completed my Engineering degree in July 2015, and I recently came across the GRE and have taken great deal of interest in it. I want to secure admission in M.S. Program for the Fall Session 2016 (i.e. the one starting in August 2016).
I have downloaded a couple of materials for the study, and I have started this week to study for the test.
But I am really struggling with some things, can the experts help me please.
Some of the questions I have are, Assuming that I am ready & have prepared for the test, what is the approximate timeline that I should follow for the proper application, i.e.
1. What is the date I should schedule my GRE and TOEFL Tests on based on the average university deadlines for the Fall Season 2016
2. What is the time of score arrivals of TOEFL and GRE
3. When do I start applying to the prospective universities
4. Other things that need to happen along the way, I don't yet know about, which a person who has taken the test can suggest some tips on.
Please help me guys.
P.S. : I am not taking any coaching and preparing on my own at home.

1. It takes 15 days to get your GRE scores and around so July/ August is a good month to take GRE. Even if you can't make it in August you could take the test as late as November and still make most deadlines.
2. It takes 15 days to get your result online and it takes about 10 days for ETS to send scores to colleges. ETS also sends scores to your home but that is not, really useful,. For example you take GRE on 4th of November your results will be out by 19th and if you have already sent scores the colleges then they will receive it by 26th.
3. Do your college hunting now ans start applying as soon as possible. There is no first come first serve basis so you should be fine as long as you don't miss the deadlines.
4. Its a rather straight forward process with no pitfalls. You apply to a college, usually online, they will have a GRE code for you to send in scores and you log in to your ETS account and send forth and scores as requested.
Note that you will get 4 score cards to send to colleges after the test. After these for all the additional score reports will cost you some money about $20.
