Weird termination of GRE exam

Hi all,
I’m hoping someone here might have some insight or advice. I took the GRE early Monday morning (July 7th), completed all five sections, and saw my unofficial scores. I was thrilled and clicked “Report Scores,” which brought me to the screen to select universities.
Right then, I stood up briefly—literally just a quick moment of celebration, still in front of the camera and didn’t leave the room. The proctor asked me to erase my transparency sleeve, which I did right away. But while I was selecting schools, my test session suddenly ended.
I tried to rejoin immediately (within 15 minutes), but couldn’t get back in. Support told me the session had been terminated by the proctor and, since I didn’t re-enter successfully, my scores won’t be reported. Phone support said to wait 48 hours before following up with ETS.
I honestly don’t think I violated any rules—I followed all the instructions and stayed in the testing space the whole time. It’s super frustrating because I finished the test and saw my scores.
Part of me wonders if the proctor might have ended the session by mistake, especially since it happened during the post-exam process.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Is there any way ETS might still be able to retrieve and report my scores?
Would really appreciate any advice or similar experiences!
