Any number N, in terms of it's Divisor, Quotient and Remainder can be written as;
N = (Divisor)(Quotient) + Remainder
Now,
N = 2u + 1 ....... (1)
N = 5v + 3 ....... (2)
Equating 1 and 2;
2u + 1 = 5v + 3
2u - 5v = 2
Hence, option B

Theory: Dividend = Divisor*Quotient + Remainder
integer n is divided by 2, the quotient is u and the remainder is 1
n -> Dividend
2 -> Divisor
u -> Quotient
1 -> Remainders
=> n = 2*u + 1 = 2u+1 ...(1)
integer n is divided by 5, the quotient is v and the remainder is 3
n -> Dividend
5 -> Divisor
v -> Quotient
3 -> Remainders
=> n = 5*v + 3 = 5v+3 ...(2)
Equating (1) and (2) we get
n = 2u+1 = 5v+3
=> 2u - 5v = 3-1 = 2
So, Answer will be B
