Solution:
In order to get a value between -100 &-1, we need j to be negative. Because when j is negative we can divide \(10^j \)by -37129 which yields a value between -100 &-1
−37,129 × \(10^j\)
Only option D satisfies.

Notice that the number 0 is a member in answers A, B, E. 10^0 = 1 which makes the expression out of range. So these three choices are clearly wrong.
As for answer C {3,4}, these positive numbers will make the expression grows even more out of range, so C is wrong.
By the process of elimination, D must be the answer.
