Plug x = 2 and y = 1 into the equation to get: |1| - |2| = 1
Simplify: 1 - 2 = 1. So, those values of x and y do not satisfy the equation.
(B) (-2, 3)
Plug x = -2 and y = 3 into the equation to get: |3| - |-2| = 1
Simplify: 3 - 2 = 1. WORKS!
Answer: B

We need to find which of the following coordinates satisfy the equation |y| - |x| = 1
Let's solve the problem using Substitution
We will values in each option choice and plug in the question and check if it satisfies the question or not.
(A) (2, 1)
We need to take x=2 and y=1 and substitute in the equation |y| - |x| = 1 and check if it satisfied the equation
=> |1| - |2| = 1
=> 1 - 2 = -1 ≠ 1 => FALSE
(B) (-2, 3)
We need to take x=-2 and y=3 and substitute in the equation |y| - |x| = 1 and check if it satisfied the equation
=> |3| - |-2| = 1
=> 3 - 2 = 1 => TRUE
In Test , we don't need to solve further, but I am solving to complete the solution
(C) (3, -2)
We need to take x=3 and y=-2 and substitute in the equation |y| - |x| = 1 and check if it satisfied the equation
=> |-2| - |3| = 1
=> 2 - 3 = -1 ≠ 1 => FALSE
(D) (4, 3)
