We have: (x − 1) (x + 2) > 0
Assuming this to be a quadratic EQUATION, we have:
x = 1 OR −2
Here, 1 is the greater of the two roots.
Since the inequality is of the greater than type, we can say that x must be greater than the
largest root or lesser than the smallest root.
=> x > 1 OR x < −2
We have: (x − 1) (x + 2) > 0
Assuming this to be a quadratic EQUATION, we have:
x = 1 OR −2
Here, 1 is the greater of the two roots.
