(|x| - 1) (|x| + 2) = 0
(|x| - 1) = 0....(1)
(|x| + 2) = 0.....(2)
Now since |x| can't equal to -2 (Absolute values are always +ve), we discard the equation (2)
|x| = 1
so x = 1 or -1 which are both less than 2. Hence qty b is bigger.
(|x| - 1) = 0....(1)
(|x| + 2) = 0.....(2)
