For a quadratic equation ax^2 + bx + c = 0, the sum of its roots = –b/a and the product of its roots = c/a.
For, x^2 − 4x − 21 = 0
(Qnt A) Sum of the roots = -b / a = - (-4) / 1 = 4
(Qnt B) Product of the roots = c / a = -21 / 1 = -21
So Qnt A > Qnt B.
For, x^2 − 4x − 21 = 0
(Qnt A) Sum of the roots = -b / a = - (-4) / 1 = 4
(Qnt B) Product of the roots = c / a = -21 / 1 = -21
So Qnt A > Qnt B.
