Here's a quick solution involving matching operations (my favorite Quantitative Comparison strategy)

Start by replacing \(x\) with \(6\) to get:
Quantity A: \(\frac{y}{6}\)
Quantity B: \(0.82\)

Multiply both quantities by \(6\) to get:
Quantity A: \(y\)
Quantity B: \(4.92\)

We're told that \(4<y<5\)
So, y COULD equal 4.99, in which case Quantity A is greater
Likewise, y COULD equal 4.92, in which case the quantities are equal
Or y COULD equal 4.5, in which case Quantity B is greater

Answer: D
