We just use the formula which is shown in the question and substitute x and y in the formula with (p and q) in A and (q and p) in B
So we will have these:
A= pΦq = (p+q) / (p-q)
B=qΦp= (q+p)/(q-p)

For comparing them, we know they both have (p+q) in their nominator thus, we compare their denominators, in A it is (p-q) and in B it is (q-p)
from the question, we know q<0<p so, p is positive and q is negative and so p-q would be positive and q-p would be negative, So A is positive and B is negative. and A is bigger than B.
