Rearranging everything
\(-x^2+4x=-12\)
\(x^2-4x=12
\)
\(x(x-4)=12\)
\(y^2-4y=12\)
\(y(y-4)=12\)
x can be 6 above and you have 12. y as well
so x=y
However, to obtain 12 x can be any number and y can be any number and you still get 12 in both equations
D is the answer
