xy>0 means that both x and y are positive or negative. Moreover, they could be integers or fractions. Testing numbers here is time consuming
Work conceptually. expand the equation
x^2+2xy+y^2
x^2-2xy+y^^2
manipulate
A is 2xy
B is -2xy
Regardless the value of xy, A will be always positive and B always negative
