I used Target Test Prep (TTP) for Quant preparation only. The course was thorough, and covered all the key topics required for the GRE. The course was also exceptionally well organized, with the course starting from the basic foundations, and each topic building upon the learnings from the previous topic. The learning approach was also ideal - there were ample example questions mixed with the theory, and a large number of practice tests and questions at the end of each section. The regular review tests also reinforced ideas from previous topics and minimized the possibility of forgetting key concepts from earlier topics. Finally, the learning interface had many useful features to customize my learning and deal with my specific weaknesses. I was able to create custom practice tests from questions which I had marked as getting them wrong or taking too long.
TTP helped me raise my GRE score by 9 points to a 330 after I had taken the GRE 5 times previously. I wish I had started with TTP's platform on my first GRE attempt 3 years ago.
For context: I gradated from college in 2020 and started studying on and off for the GRE. After self-studying and getting a middle-of-the-road quant score (mid 60th percentile), I tried 2 different private tutors. My quant scores still hovered in the high 150s / low 160s. My dream score was to break 162.
After ~10 weeks studying for the GRE, my quant score jumped to a 165 (verbal was 165 as well).
How did that happen?
1. Change in platform: TTP has the most comprehensive review of all GRE content, in my opinion. With tutors or self-study books, you might reach 60% of the content that appears. But TTP is exacting ... it's a lot more work, but I'm pretty confident I practiced 90% of what actually showed up on the GRE.
2. Change in perspective: Previously, I was studying on the weekends, after work, etc. I changed my perspective by making the GRE my #1 priority for about a month. I woke up early, took time off work, stopped seeing friends, and stopped working out. It wasn't fun at the time, but it was a short-term sacrifice I was willing to make.
I hope this review helps you along your testing journey!
I started out with basically remembering ZERO math from undergrad but nevertheless, TTP was there. The quant sections are incredibly useful and are really thorough. The user interface is incredibly easy to use and is very fulfilling as you tick through the chapters almost turning it into your favorite RPG game and making you want to complete each and every facet of the course. Overall, it really helped me achieve the score I wanted especially starting with a 312.
The verbal section gave me the experience of seeing questions in what felt like a low-stakes environment so I could purely focus on learning and not on what score I was getting. It broke concepts down into easy-to-follow conventions.
Thank you Target Test Prep for making the studying process, easy, fun and effective! I had done well on my SATs, but hadn't taken any tests for so many years that the GMAT material was not coming easily to me at all. When I decided to switch from the GMAT to GRE and get the test done to apply for business school, TTP stood out to me as a study tool because of the seamless interface, progress tracker, and comprehensive material covered. Not having to keep track of notes and progress manually or think about staying organized allowed me to dedicate my full mental capacity to learning the material. I put in a lot of hours, but got through it all in just 7 weeks. I took the real exam one time and was happy with my score of 329! I don't think I could have studied that quickly if not for TTP keeping me motivated and on top of things. Thank you!
So I had decided to take the GRE after not being able to cross the 680 mark. I was obviously quite confused as to how to approach learning for entirely different exam. But I was glad I used TTP because it introduces you to the different kind of GRE questions very quickly. So I never really felt i needed to go through various articles to figure out the format of the test as such. The quant is very comprehensive and its essentially designed for someone really willing to put the time in. I have a degree in chemical engineering but there were a lot of things that TTP taught me especially in math. TTP i felt designed its math not only to help you answer it correctly but also improve your time management because at the end of the day you are under time constraints. The verbal section is also quite good it introduces you to a few concepts although i do feel that if they added a few more tests within the course it would easily be on par with the Quant section. Jeff and Scott were also really helpful guiding me from my mediocre GMAT score to adopting a GRE mindset. Jeff (bless his soul) also gave me valuable advice a few days before my exam which really helped build my confidence. So i feel that they dont sell fluff but more a skill. Ultimately i am extremely grateful for this course as it makes me a significantly more competitive candidate
I decided to pursue an MBA after over 7 years of service in the military. After settling on the GRE as my standardized test, I sought out the best possible test prep program. A friend recommended that I look at the TTP course, and I quickly went all in on the 6-month comprehensive study program. The course structure and interface are second to none. Additionally, the depth of quantitative preparation is not replicated across the industry. After being out of the classroom for many years, the rigorous program allowed me to efficiently re-learn all the required math concepts. There are literally endless practice problems, and this program definitely challenges you to work hard!
Ultimately, this program put me in the best possible position to succeed, and I boosted my Quant score from 160 to 168!
I've been out of school for 10+ years and am looking to make a later in life career change. My foundation, especially in quant, was extremely rusty and never really that strong to begin with. TTP quickly ramped me onto all the need-to-know concepts with formulaic, rubric style content that tested your mastery along the way and provided a path to brush up if you weren't hitting the mark. TTP made me so much faster at immediately recognizing the concept GRE was testing and gave me a way to solve questions I previously was too intimidated by. My scores represented a 14 point increase from my lowest mocks and helped get me into my first choice program with full funding and definitely couldn't have gotten there without the TTP team.
As a busy working professional, Target Test Prep was incredibly helpful to me achieving my target GRE score. Because of structured nature of the course, I knew exactly what I was going to study everyday, as well as how I was going to study everyday. I really appreciated how the program was set up to backwards plan from my test date which reassured me that I would have enough time to get the score I wanted. And the clean and simple interface really helped me to put all of my focus into the actual content that I was studying.
Ultimately my score jumped 10 points from my first practice test because of TTP! Anybody who strives to maximize their GRE score should absolutely sign up for TTP.
I could go on for days about the quality of TTP. The way TTP delivers content made previously challenging concepts easy for me, and the flexibility of the study plan was great. I improved my quant score in a matter of weeks by using the custom test feature, drilling hard problems and becoming comfortable and confident with challenging problems across topics. The ability to go back to certain chapters easily was also helpful, and tackling problems in the context of the chapter content was great. Also, the instructors themselves are great - the one-off (free!) webinars were helpful to continuously refine skills and understand new ways to solve problems.
I only signed up for the TTP Quant Service but based on that alone TTP is a five start service. Immensely detailed course but very manageable to break the modules down into sections based on your work schedule and hours available per week. I chose TTP specifically because of their reviews and I can wholeheartedly say I agree with them now after improving my Quant score with their program. The video explanations were exactly what I needed for help and their example problems really set me up for success for the actual test day. I’ve already put another friend onto their program and will keep doing so.
680 mark?
