Even though there isn't a 4TH ROOT button on the GRE's onscreen calculator, you can use the square root button twice to find the fourth root.
This approach is based on the fact that \((x^{\frac{1}{2}})^{\frac{1}{2}}=x^{\frac{1}{4}}=\) the 4th root of x
So, enter 496, and then press the square root button twice to get 4.72
