Here, Managers = M, Analysts = A and Trainees = T
Using ratio given: M: A = 4: 7 => M = 4/7A
Similarly, A:T = 1: 2 => T = 2A
Since, company has only Managers(M), Analysts(A) and Trainees(T), total employees would be = M + A+ T
Putting all in terms of analysts here, Total employees = 4/7A + A + 2A =25A/7
So, analysts would be => A = 7/25(Total employees)
We know A has to be a positive integer since it's number of employees, plugging values
I) 7/25*840 = non-integer
2) 7/25*975 = 273
3) 7/25*1120 = non-integer.
Since, only second option yields a positive integer, Hence, answer should be (B)
