The first part of the sentence indicates that Senator Scottsdale was currently (i) <stuck> into a scandal. However, "despite pressure from reporters," the "press secretary" would not (ii) <share> the "details of the senator's upcoming public address." Since I came up with my own fill-ins, all we need to do now is match!
"Embroiled" works well with <stuck> and "divulge" is synonymous with <share>. "Consort" has two meanings: 1) noun. partner/wife/husband, 2) adj. associate/mix/mingle. Doesn't work either way here.
