Hi Tarun,
The verbal skills tested in GRE are mainly divided into the following:
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Text Completion and Sentence Equivalence
  • Paragraph Argument or critical reasoning

The first two types are the ones that you will come across most. Since you have already gone through GMAT, you can easily depend on your RC skills to get through GRE RC. The second type will be a bit new to you since it's mostly vocabulary dependent. Since you only want to prepare for a month I suggest you do two things simultaneously to have the maximum effect on your score:
  1. Building your vocabulary: Materials like Barron's 333 High-frequency words, Manhattan 500 advanced GRE words, Vocabulary.com, etc
  2. Practice, Practice , Practice...... : Buy Manhattan's Text completion and Sentence equivalence and practice + complete the 2nd Edition Official GRE guide. Those will be more than enough for you.

I would recommend you to test your quant and verbal skills using our newly launched GRE sectional tests.
These are meant for test takers who are targeting high percentiles.
I hope this helps.

Re: GRE after GMAT [#permalink]
Hi, I too am struggling with this question! 2 attempts on GMAT with a low score and now I have only 2 weeks to prepare (B school deadlines). I am trying to evaluate if GRE is a better option for me. Can someone suggest if I should even try to take GRE as I have only 2 weeks for prep, or I should keep my focus on GMAT? GMAT is kind of scaring me now because however hard I try I am unable to score in the exam (scoring better in prep tests though).

Also, can someone share a link to a free GRE diagnostic test?
