#GREpracticequestion If the hash marks above are equally spaced.PNG
If the hash marks above are equally spaced, what is the value of p?
(A) \(\frac{3}{2}\)
(B) \(\frac{8}{5}\)
(C) \(\frac{24}{15}\)
(D) \(\frac{512}{125}\)
(E) \(\frac{625}{256}\)
You should notice that hash marks give us 5 equally spaced parts of a line.
Adding up those 5 parts gives us 2
Which means one part equals to 2/5
Now:
\(\sqrt[3]{P}\) the term we are looking for locates on the forth part of the line
\(\sqrt[3]{P}=\frac{2}{5}*4
\)
\(p=\frac{8^3}{5^3}\)
\(p=\frac{512}{125}\)
