Average gasoline cost per mile = (total gasoline cost)/(total miles)
total gasoline cost = (600 gallons) x ($1.20 per gallon) = $720
total miles = 9,000 miles
Average gasoline cost per mile = $720/9000 = $72/900
= $72/900
= $8/100 after dividing numerator and denominator by 9
= $0.08
Answer: A
