People who make decisions based on emotion and justify those decisions with logic afterwards are poor decision makers.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.
The statement states that decisions that were taken by people based on emotions and justifying those decisions afterwards are poor decision makers. This statement cannot be completely accepted because decision making depends on the situation and the situation may vary from time to time.
People cannot be judged or their decisions cannot be judged as poor since it is based on emotions. Because emotions are not negative thing, it is a kind of feeling that keeps the living things alive. It makes living things unique and vivacious from lifeless creatures (non-living things). For instance, when a devotee has salubrious food that has to be presented to God as a part of ritual, there is no wrong when he serves the food to people who is deprived of food,as a gesture of humanity and sympathy. This decision making is correct and appropriate though it is based on emotions.
On the other hand, there is some situation in which people should make decisions, keeping all the emotions away. This situation mostly mirrors company's situation. The authority has to charge the person, who is not contributing to company's growth, even though the person depends on the salary as the only source for his living. In this situation if the authority shows concern for him, they cannot run the company successfully. Here, prudent decision has to be taken to accelerate the company's growth.
Finally, it can be concluded that decision making is the most important and responsible thing which has to be made lenient in some places and focused and strict in other places. Therefore, justifying the emotional decisions with logic has nothing to do with the level and quality of decision making.
