Topic: Men and women, because of their inherent physical differences, are not equally suited for many tasks.
Essay:
It is true that men and women bear different physical capabilities. When males hit puberty by the age of fourteen their body releases hormones such as testosterone which makes them physically stronger than females, who produce estrogen instead of testosterone. But these differences do not deter females from undertaking tasks that men do. The prompt suggests that men and women due to their physical differences, are not equally suited for many tasks.
In my opinion, I mostly disagree with the given recommendation.
To begin with, in today's world both boys and girls are brought up by their parents in the same way. Same type of education is available to both boys and girls. They study the same subjects and compete with each other in their academic and extra curricular activities. Since both men and women receive similar training and education, it would be wrong to suggest that they are not equally suited for many tasks. For instance, men and women can compete with each other for various jobs such as in software, healthcare, teaching, science and history. Today we have equally efficient female doctors and scientists as we have male doctors and scientists.
Today, men and women are not limited in their roles. Women are not restricted to the household chores and men are not restricted to earning the bread for the family. It is very common to find men who help around in household chores and women who earn more than their husbands. Kalpana Chawla was a famous astronaut who worked for NASA. Indira Gandhi was the first women Prime Minister of India, a position that was earlier reserved for men . Similarly, we have male chefs like Vikas Khanna who broke the glass ceiling and stepped into a so-called women's profession.
Opponents of this view may propose since women are not physically stronger than men, they should not undertake extreme strenuous jobs such as working in mines and constructions sites or in the army where they might prove to be a liability. I would argue that women today are getting employed in the armies and are successfully fighting wars and leading rescue operations. Gunjan Saxena, was the first Indian women Air force Officer who went to war. This has been made possible by strenuous trainings that these women undertake in order to become equally competent to males. Hence, with the right strategies and technologies, men and women can be trained to undertake any task they desire. In conclusion, I would suggest that in today's era, with the right training and education both men and women can become equally competent to undertake a task successfully
