Agree to Carcass above, your Q is looking good and you may want to devote time to maintain that (you can use grepreclub Q tests), however V can be improved as there is a lot of scope.

I can't fully guarantee the statement, however after reading review on different forums what I understand is ETS 2 free tests are good to get the feel of the test but to actually measure your performance you may unfortunately have to buy paid tests as they are closest to all available options in the market right now.

Re: Regarding Kaplan and Manhattan Simulations [#permalink]
Hi there!

Yes, i took the two free ETS. I didn’t add them in my question, as they are free and therefore I guess that they will be exactly the same every time someone takes them. Yet, my question can be also expanded for the ETS Powerprep tests as well.

So, does anyone know what happens if you repurchase and retake the Manhattan, Kaplan or ETS prep tests?

Will they be the same or there is a generator of new questions every time? If not, then I am thinking that retaking these tests won’t prepare you adequately for a new examination, as you will be already familiar with the questions and consequently this won’t be a “real conditions” simulation.

Ok. If I can I would like to step in and give some advice. If I can of course :)

Now: we have to consider the time you are taking into consideration: another month, two , and so on

Then I believe your areas of improvement must be verbal. quant is already fine. However, if you want improve as well I would do the following

1) going through specific contents in quant to improve more and keeping an error log I will try to eliminate careless mistakes. with 165 usually are those the main issue

  1. GRE Math Essentials for a TOP Quant Score - Q170!!! - 15 Quant Theory Chapters
  2. GRE Geometry Formulas for a Q170
  3. FIVE WAYS TO IMPROVE ACCURACY IN GRE QUANT SECTIONS
  4. GRE Geometry - Tips and tricks .......and more !!!
  5. GRE Quant Score 170 - INEQUALITIES / Absolute Value / Modulus
  6. GRE Time/Speed/Distance Problems - Tips and Tricks with examples
  7. GRE Work/Rate Problems - Tips and Tricks you must know with examples
  8. GRE - Mean, Median, Mode, and Range for a Q170 Score
  9. GRE - Box-and-Whisker Plots for a Q170 Score
  10. GRE - Permutation & Combination for a Q170 Score
  11. GRE - Probability for a Q170 Score
  12. GRE - Mean, Median, Range, Mode and SD ADVANCED for a Q170 Score
  13. GRE Circles : Basics and Properties
  14. GRE Quantitative Reasoning Mental Maps

2 ) verbal

You must improve here and the only way is to have on one hand a solid theory

RC the secret to beat the verbal GRE

  1. Introduction to GRE Reading Comprehension
  2. Strategy for Long Passage - GRE RC Project
  3. Strategy for the Medium Passage - GRE RC Project
  4. Analyze The Answer Choices - GRE RC Project
  5. Master the Answer Choices - Main Idea/Inference/Miscellaneous - GRE RC Project
  6. Reading Comprehension Cracking TIPS - GRE RC Project

Other Resources

TC/SE/

  1. GRE Text Completion and Sentence Equivalence Basic Strategy I
  2. GRE Text C. and Sentence E. - Analyzing the Question Stem II
  3. GRE Text C. and Sentence E. - Analyzing the Answer Choices III

After this I would retake the Pp FREE and if you can afford I would buy the PPPLus the third one which is the closest to the real test

In the middle I would practice ONLY official questions here on the board

Use this 3 months plan study detailed with both practice and theory
