Let's examine a few terms in the sequence
The first term of a sequence is 2
So, term1 = 2
All subsequent terms are found by adding 3 to the immediately preceding term and then multiplying the sum by 2.
So, term2 = 2(2 + 3) = 2(5) = 10
term3 = 2(10 + 3) = 2(13) = 26
term4 = 2(26 + 3) = 2(29) = 58
.
.
.
So the first four terms are 2, 10, 26, 58, ...
Which of the following describes the terms of the sequence?
Since we always end up multiplying some sum by 2, we can be certain that every term in the sequence is even
Answer: B

Brent

Just the part where you are multiplying the term by 2 should be enough to tell that all terms are even.
