Let the speed of boat A = 24 and boat of speed B = 10
Distance travelled by both the boats in 3 hours;
A = 3 x 24 = 72
B = 3 x 10 = 30
Since, A travelled North and B travelled in East direction, we will have a Right triangle with one side 72 and other as 30.
Apply Pythagoras Theorem to find the hypotenuse;
\(H^2\) = \(72^2\) + \(30^2\) = 5184 + 900 = 6084
H = \(\sqrt{6084}\) = 78
Hence, option C
