This is really a beautiful question and to be honest it created a tough time for me as well.
The third blank is difficult to tackle simply because if you do not get the very essence of the sentence AND at the same time you see the big picture probably than not you will go to pick up I and not G as a choice.
The take away from this question is pretty simple and straight yet very crucial: when you find yourself in the wasteland do not try to find a shortcut. Likely, even if there is you, perhaps, will not see it or you are unable to connect the dots. Look at the BIG picture.
Essentially the question is on the balance between these two sides: on one hand, we do have the first part of the sentence

it is cannot be duplicated or replicable
AND cannot be reduced even further because it is intrinsic, like a polynomial cannot be simplified even further such as \((x^2+1)\)
Moreover, the visible is just..visible. Even if we do not understand it fully we incorporate or understand something. inscrutable means that the visible is impenetrable, completely obscure, which per se is an oxymoron and that has no sense.
